Chicken keeping courses.
We now offer a chicken keeping course "starting with chickens", run by Jeremy Harris; a poultry breeder and keeper for 25 years.
The aim of this course is to introduce you to the hobby of keeping chickens.
We will teach you the basics of husbandry and advise you to your own requirements.
The course will run for approximately 2 1/2 hours and include refreshments.
Places are limited to ensure there are plenty of oppurtunities for questions, answers and discussions.
There is a hands on section to enable you to handle chickens so old wellies and a coat are advisable.

Incubation and hatching

Health of your hens

Open questions.
All attendees will take home a booklet based on the topics covered in the course.
After the course you will have the oppurtunity to browse our shop and we offer a 5% d
iscount on housing, equipment and birds ordered on that day.
The cost of the course is £49 per person, additional persons from the same household is £25.
One to one weekday courses are £79.
